Nancy R. Austin, CPC
Nancy Rose Austin, CPC has served the Qualitec®/Austin Group organizations in all functions of management excluding placement recruitment and sales. She started in the recruiting industry when she co-founded The Austin Group in 1977 and was expanded in 1992 when she co-founded The Qualitec® Family of Independently Owned Companies providing equity opportunities for partnerships for exceptional managers.
Nancy serves as Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer for the entities that currently comprise Qualitec®. Her current responsibilities include all human resources, contract, financial and operational responsibilities for this placement organization.
Nancy also gained previous experience in several other industries serving as a project manager for aerospace and biotech and as a Vice President of Property Management for a national real estate organization.
Nancy previously served as a public member of the State Bar of Texas District 4 Grievance Committee. Additionally, she is a past member of the Business Advisory Board for Joseph Michaels, Inc., a San Francisco based executive search firm; and a past member of the Business Development Board for Community Bank (now Sterling Bank). Nancy also was a member of the Board of Directors of Inverness II @ Walden Condominium Association for 9 years serving as Vice President and Treasurer.
Paul A. Austin, CPC
Mr. Austin has been in the search industrysince 1975. He began his career running a desk for financial professionals. Subsequently, he co-founded The Austin Group LP in 1977 and the Qualitec® Family of Independently Owned Companies in 1992. Austin Group/Qualitec® has been one of the top 5 recruiting firms in the city of Houston as designated by the Houston Business Journal in number of permanent placements for nearly 20 years.
Paul currently serves as Chairman of the Board and President of the Qualitec® Family of Independently Owned Companies.
Paul has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Houston Area Association of Personnel Consultants, the Texas Association of Personal Consultants, and the National Association of Personal Services.
He received the Award of Merit for Commitment to Employees from the National Association of Personnel Services in 2000 and in 2010 Paul received the Locke-Matthiessen Award, the highest award given by the Texas Association of Personnel Consultants for his lifetime of dedication and contribution to the industry. Additionally, in 2010 the National Association of Personnel Services honored Paul with its Hero Award for his innovation and leadership. This was the first time the award had been given by NAPS in seventeen years. In 2011 Paul was presented with a Lifetime Membership Award by the Houston Association of Personnel Services for his dedication and support of the local association.
Paul received a B.S. in Management from the University of Texas Pan American and served in the U.S. Army. He is a father, grandfather, world traveler and avid golfer.
